THE EVENT CALICI DI STELLE 2015: THE NEW “TUSCANY GOLDEN STAR” DURING THE NIGHT OF ST. LAWRENCE

On August 10th, in the beautiful setting of the historic “Spezieria e Orto di Santa Fina” the event “Calici di Stelle” took place with the extraordinary opening of the adjacent library in San Gimignano.

The event, promoted by the “Movimento Turismo del Vino”, is organized at the same time in many towns and villages in Italy every year during the long and suggestive Night of St. Lawrence. It was animated with different tales, movies and music inspired from Renaissance and Baroque melodies; in the meanwhile it was possible to taste the famous “Vernaccia DOCG” from the local producers.
Among the excellences presented during “Calici di Stelle” the prestigious Golden Ham “Prosciutto allo Zafferano di San Gimignano DOP” stood out, which was offered in tasting by Salumificio Toscani Piacenti.

16th ANNIVERSARY OF THE “WINE ROUTE OF VERNACCIA” ASSOCIATION

On Friday 10th July, in the characteristic triangular shaped “Piazza delle Erbe” surrounded by noble palaces and the side of the Collegiata, the sixteenth celebration of the Wine Route of Vernaccia took place.

“Golden Ham” is the star of “Terre di San Gimignano”, the new line of Salumificio Toscano Piacenti destined to build up a model of a sustainable local supply chain, based on the strong partnership between the riches and typical productive traditions of the territory: uniqueness lying together in a line of excellence, indissolubly “Made in San Gimignano”.
The parade and the exhibition of the “Flag Throwers of the Florentine Villages and Districts” joyfully animated the afternoon, reviving the ancient Medieval tradition of “Bandierai”.



SALUMIFICIO TOSCANO PIACENTI AT THE SUMMER FANCY FOOD IN NEW YORK

From 28th to 30th June, the Summer Fancy Food Show, the most important exibition of the American Gastronomic Specialties, took place at Jacob K. J. Convention Center in New York.
The event was attended by the “Salumificio Toscano Piacenti” with its renewed colors, which were officially presented to all the numerous admirers in a constant growing market.

Thousands of visitors, including professionals, experts and food lovers, were able to appreciate the products of the “Salumificio Toscano Piacenti”, showing a great interest in the quality of communication and in all products.
The PDO Tuscan Ham from the traditional recipe, the typical grilled Roasted Ham, the special Porchetta marinated with aromatic herbs, and the Roasted Arista showed a great success thanks to their authentic flavors, true excellence of Tuscany. .

1th GOURMANDAY

In the beautiful setting of “ Piazza delle Erbe “, in front of the Twin Towers and the Fortress of Montestaffoli, the 1° Gourmanday took place on Saturday 27th June during the famous “Nottilucente” event.
A clever way to know and appreciate the culinary riches of the territory: salami, honey, saffron, spices and so on.. which still are the real stars of a world of ancient traditions and unforgettable values, scrupulously handed down with unique passion and love.

A special set for a unique opportunity, where new specialties from the “Terre of San Gimignano” brand of “Salumificio Toscano Piacenti”, were tasted and enjoyed directly into the production area. During the event the numerous participants were able to discover new flavors in their mouths and in their eyes too, giving their score about them!!!

During the evening, in the lounge area, important personalities from the city context, among which the CEO of Salumificio Toscano Piacenti of San Gimignano Dott. Marco Pisoni, participated in a debate open to the all population of San Gimignano.
It was a prestigious event for “Made in San Gimignano”!
